Project: Davidov (2018)
Logo Design, Brand Identity Design, Collateral Design
Robert Davidov, Principal of Davidov Architecture and Interior Design, approached us to create a visual language for his practice that matched his uncompromising approach to timeless, harmonious, high-end design. His unique warm minimalist style is informed by principles of proportion, spatial sequence, composition, materiality and light.
Drawing on these same principles, we developed a brand identity that focuses on balance in every character, every element, and every aspect. A monospaced typeface utilised throughout the logo and identity informs the grid system employed, with the colour palette consisting of a middle grey, black and white. The result is an identity that discards trends and stands as a timeless brand.
Hortenzia acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong Boon Wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin Nation as the traditional and ongoing custodians of the lands on which we work. We pay respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded and recognise First Nations peoples’ rights to self-determination and continuing connections to land, waters and community.
We respect and welcome people of all backgrounds, sexualities, abilities and cultures.
